Body Logic Health is a physician-led weight loss and metabolic wellness clinic specializing in GLP-1 receptor agonist therapy. We combine FDA-approved medications (semaglutide and tirzepatide) with comprehensive labs, a whole-person clinical approach, and ongoing physician oversight — at our two Central Florida clinic locations (East Orlando and DeLand) and via telehealth for established patients.

Your initial consultation must be in-person so your physician can complete a full biometric assessment, review your labs, and evaluate your health history before prescribing. Follow-up visits are available via telehealth for established patients.

GLP-1 therapy is generally appropriate for adults who:

• Have a BMI of 30 or higher (obese), or
• Have a BMI of 27 or higher with at least one weight-related condition (e.g., hypertension, type 2 diabetes, sleep apnea, high cholesterol), and
• Are 18 years of age or older
• Do not have a history of medullary thyroid carcinoma or MEN 2 syndrome

Getting started is simple:

Most patients are prescribed and on-program within one week of their initial visit.

GLP-1 (Glucagon-Like Peptide-1) receptor agonists are a class of medications that mimic a natural gut hormone released after eating. They work by:

Semaglutide is a GLP-1 receptor agonist available in oral form (tablet) and injectable form. It targets only the GLP-1 receptor and is approved for weight management under the brand name Wegovy®, and for type 2 diabetes as Ozempic®.

Tirzepatide is a dual agonist — it targets both the GLP-1 and GIP (glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide) receptors simultaneously. This dual action has shown superior average weight loss in clinical trials (up to ~20% body weight in SURMOUNT-1 vs ~15% for semaglutide in STEP trials).

Oral semaglutide (tablet) is taken daily, typically in the morning on an empty stomach. It is more convenient for patients who prefer not to self-inject and is a good starting point for those new to GLP-1 therapy. Average weight loss is approximately 10% of body weight over 12 months.

Injectable semaglutide is administered once weekly via a small subcutaneous pen injection. It generally achieves higher circulating levels of the medication, with average weight loss around 15% of body weight over 12 months.

All prescriptions are issued by our licensed physicians following an in-person clinical evaluation. We do not prescribe based on questionnaires alone.

Vitamin B12 plays a critical role in energy production, neurological function, and red blood cell formation. Patients on calorie-restricted diets and GLP-1 therapy can sometimes experience reduced B12 absorption.

Adding a B12 injection to your semaglutide protocol helps maintain energy levels, supports metabolism, and counteracts the fatigue that some patients experience, especially during the initial months of the program.

Your $75 Initial Consultation is a comprehensive clinical visit that includes:

• Complete health history review
• Biometric assessment (weight, BMI, vital signs)
• Comprehensive metabolic lab panel order
• Physician-led eligibility evaluation for GLP-1 therapy
• Discussion of medication options, dose selection, and administration method
• Personalized program plan and timeline

Take-Home Vial Path — Your physician prescribes a 50 mL tirzepatide vial that you take home and self-administer weekly. For a higher-dose patient requiring 2 vials over 3 months, the total is approximately $835 ($175 visits + $660 medication) — about $275–$280/month.

In-Office Weekly Injection Path — You come to the clinic each week for your injection, administered by a clinical team member. Cost is a flat $60/month base fee plus the per-dose medication cost at the time of injection.

At this time, Body Logic Health operates as a cash-pay clinic. We do not bill insurance for program visits or medications. This allows us to maintain transparent, predictable pricing without surprise bills or prior authorization delays.

However, some patients may be able to use HSA or FSA accounts to cover visit costs. We can provide itemized receipts upon request for your records.

No contracts. No cancellation fees. Body Logic Health does not require you to commit to any minimum program length. You pay for your visits and medications as you go, and you can pause or discontinue the program at any time with no penalty.

We do recommend a minimum of 3–6 months to achieve meaningful, sustained results based on clinical trial data — but that decision is always yours.

GLP-1 therapy is not appropriate for everyone. You should not use semaglutide or tirzepatide if you have:

• A personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma (MTC)
• A diagnosis of Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia syndrome type 2 (MEN 2)
• A history of serious hypersensitivity to the medication or its components
• Active pancreatitis

Your physician will conduct a full contraindication review at your initial visit. Certain conditions — such as gallbladder disease, kidney disease, or pregnancy — may also affect eligibility.

The most commonly reported side effects are gastrointestinal in nature and typically occur during dose escalation:

• Nausea (most common, especially in the first 4–8 weeks)
• Vomiting
• Diarrhea or constipation
• Decreased appetite

Prior to prescribing, our physicians order a comprehensive metabolic lab panel that typically includes:

• Complete Metabolic Panel (CMP) — kidney function, liver enzymes, glucose
• Complete Blood Count (CBC)
• Lipid Panel — cholesterol and triglycerides
• HbA1c — average blood sugar over 3 months
• Thyroid Panel (TSH, T3, T4)
• Fasting insulin and HOMA-IR (insulin resistance)

These labs help us understand your full metabolic picture and identify any conditions that may affect your program or require monitoring.

Yes. Continuous physician supervision is a cornerstone of our program. Unlike many direct-to-consumer platforms, every Body Logic Health patient has:

• A named, licensed physician assigned to their care
• Scheduled follow-up visits at regular intervals
• Lab monitoring to track metabolic changes over time
• Dose adjustments made by the physician based on clinical response

Both semaglutide and tirzepatide were originally developed for type 2 diabetes management and have strong clinical data in this population. However, if you are already on diabetes medications — particularly insulin or sulfonylureas — there is a risk of hypoglycemia (low blood sugar) when adding a GLP-1 agonist.

Your Body Logic Health physician will review all current medications and may coordinate with your endocrinologist or primary care provider to adjust your diabetes regimen safely.

Based on published clinical trial data:

• Semaglutide Oral: Average ~10% of body weight over 68 weeks
• Semaglutide Injectable (+ B12): Average ~15% of body weight over 68 weeks (STEP trials)
• Tirzepatide (+ NAD): Average ~15–20% of body weight over 72 weeks (SURMOUNT-1 trial)

Results vary significantly by individual. Factors including starting weight, age, biological sex, dietary adherence, activity level, and genetics all influence outcomes.

Most patients begin noticing reduced appetite and early weight changes within the first 2–4 weeks. However, because we follow a gradual dose titration (starting low and increasing every 4 weeks), significant weight loss typically accelerates after the 2–3 month mark as you reach a therapeutic dose.

A common pattern: 3–5% loss in the first 3 months, reaching 10–20% by months 9–12 depending on program and adherence.

Plateaus are a normal part of any weight loss journey and do not mean the medication has stopped working. When a plateau occurs, your Body Logic Health physician may:

• Evaluate your current dose and recommend escalation if appropriate
• Review labs for hormonal or metabolic changes
• Discuss dietary and lifestyle adjustments
• Consider add-on therapies (peptides, nutritional support) to break through the plateau

Clinical data shows that some weight regain is common after discontinuing GLP-1 therapy, particularly if lifestyle habits (diet and activity) have not changed alongside the medication. In the STEP extension trials, patients who stopped semaglutide regained approximately two-thirds of their weight loss within a year.

This is why Body Logic Health's whole-person approach emphasizes sustainable behavioral and nutritional habits throughout your program — not just medication management. Long-term maintenance plans and lower-dose continuation options are discussed with patients approaching their goals.

For the take-home vial path: You will have an in-person initial visit, then two follow-up visits within the first 3 months (typically at weeks 4 and 8–10). These follow-up visits can be done via telehealth for established patients. After the first 3 months, follow-up frequency is determined by your physician based on your progress and health status.

For the in-office injection path: You visit the clinic once per week for your injection. This path provides hands-on clinical touchpoints and in-person support at every visit.

Yes. For patients on the take-home vial path, your physician and clinical team will fully instruct you on:

• How to prepare and draw the medication correctly
• Proper injection technique (subcutaneous injection)
• Injection site rotation and skin preparation
• Safe storage, handling, and disposal of supplies

Most patients become comfortable with self-injection within the first one or two doses.

Tirzepatide and semaglutide vials should be stored in the refrigerator at 36–46°F (2–8°C). Do not freeze. Keep away from light. An opened or in-use vial can typically be kept refrigerated for 28–56 days depending on the formulation — your pharmacist will provide specific instructions on the medication label.

When traveling, keep the medication in a cooler or insulated bag with an ice pack. Do not leave it in a hot car or direct sunlight.

For weekly injections: If you miss a dose and your next scheduled dose is more than 4 days away, take the missed dose as soon as you remember. If your next scheduled dose is within 4 days, skip the missed dose and resume your regular weekly schedule. Do not take two doses in the same week.

For oral semaglutide: Take it as soon as you remember, but if it is close to your next scheduled dose, skip the missed day and resume normally the following day.

Yes — telehealth follow-up visits are available after your initial in-person consultation. Your first visit must be in-person at our East Orlando or DeLand clinic so your physician can complete a proper biometric assessment, review your lab results, and conduct a hands-on clinical evaluation before prescribing.
